Provider diagnostics, local persistence, packaged proof, and deeper project continuity still live in the desktop lane. The web account is there to support it, not replace it.
- Clone the FreeX repository from GitHub.
- Run `npm install` in the repo root, then `npm run desktop:dev` for development or `npm run desktop:bundle:mac` to build a local app bundle.
- Set your OpenAI API key in the local environment before the first hosted prompt transform.
- Use the web account later for billing, identity linking, and future cross-surface continuity.
